Three different versions of Metallica's "Wherever I May Roam" have been released from the forthcoming Blacklist album, out September 10th.
Country superstar, Jon Pardi is one of them. Pardi adds his distinctive twang and country vibe delivering a brooding cover of Metallica’s “Wherever I May Roam" and J. Balvin has released a reggeaton version.
The third version is a live one from Metallica's set at the Day on The Green Festival in Oakland back in 1991.
The Blacklist features 53 different artists celebrating the 30th anniversary of Metallica's "black album".
Metallica's also has a new read on the way on August 15th, called The 24.95 Book. Writer Ben Apatoff documents the band's career over the last four decades, dedicating a chapter to each band member, their movies, discography, and more.
