Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani made sure their Oklahoma wedding was an intimate affair and that meant excluding industry friends, including Dierks Bentley, from the nuptials.
During Bentley's recent stop at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California as part of his "Beers on Me Tour," the country star weighed in on his recent reunion with Shelton and what he offered as a wedding present to the newly-married couple. "It was amazing, you know? It was so great seeing him. We hadn't seen each other in a long time," Bentley told ET Online of helping mentor Shelton's team for the upcoming season of The Voice.
As for his thoughts on the intimate nuptials, Bentley understood their need for a small crowd. "It's really cool, the way that his wedding's private like that, I'm so happy for him," he said. "He found Gwen and he's doing so well, great music, recording together. He's doing so great."
What did Bentley offer Shelton as a wedding gift? He showed off his sense of humor, saying, "My presence at The Voice was his present!"
Shelton was candid about the missing faces from his wedding in a recent interview, admitting that he had spoken with folks about the ceremony and its small list of invitees. "So I've had awkward conversations with, with so many of my friends since it's ‘Oh, oh yeah. I read y'all. Yeah, I read about that. How was that?’" he recalled. "You know, I was like, ‘Listen, you know, we kept it small, get over it, you know, it's not about you.'"
